Exciting Collaboration Between King and Alan Walker
Following successful partnerships with international stars such as Nick Jonas, KSHMR, and Jason Derulo, Indian singer and rapper King has joined forces with Norwegian DJ and producer Alan Walker for their new track, 'Story of a Bird,' now available on all major streaming platforms.
Reflecting on the collaboration, King expressed that working with Walker was a creatively fulfilling experience. He stated, “The most rewarding aspect of collaborating with global artists is the opportunity to delve into diverse musical realms. When a collaborator hails from outside India, their musical background introduces a different kind of sound, and the challenge is to weave Indian melodies into these international soundscapes.”
King also mentioned his eagerness to meet Walker again, saying, “It’s wonderful to connect with an artist who inspires me. When he visits India next, I plan to spend more time with him and show him around Delhi.”
Describing the collaboration process, King noted that the project came together swiftly, stating, “This was one of the quickest projects I’ve ever worked on. Alan’s team was incredibly dedicated, working tirelessly. I completed the writing in just one day.”
In recent years, King has established himself as a key figure in India's indie-pop and rap scene, with popular tracks like 'Maan Meri Jaan,' 'Tu Aake Dekh Le,' and 'Bumpa.' He has collaborated with notable artists including Gucci Mane, Diljit Dosanjh, and Yo Yo Honey Singh.
Meanwhile, Alan Walker made a return to India in April 2025, just six months after his previous tour in October 2024, performing in cities such as Guwahati, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, and Jaipur. The DJ has expressed his admiration for Indian fans, culture, and music, and has shown interest in participating in a Bollywood project.
